12/21/2005

We all went to the Salem Parade of Lights this year. It was our first time going since we moved too Salem. The only catch this year is that it was cold, in the 20's. We had a great time and Lilli who is always running around or getting into everybody's business, sat through the whole thing. She even seemed to like the fire trucks and ambulances, even when the sirens were going.

This is from Thanksgiving. We ate alot and enjoyed getting together with Erin's family. Lilli isn't sleeping, just being shy.

Lilli is into tumbling as you can see. I guess we are going to have to look into classes for her. She like most kids has no fear when it comes to flinging her body around. She is very good at the somersault. I'm not such a big fan of her jumping off things.

Here are some other photos of Lilli without comments:

Disneyland

Disneyland 2005

Erin wanted to take a vacation before baby number two got here. I asked where, which was a stupid question, she said Disneyland. In early October we left Lilli with her daycare provider for one week and enjoyed each others company together. Here we are at the Blue Bayou eating dinner.

As you can see we went during the 50th anniversery of Disneyland. We thought we were going during the "down" time, but we soon found out that during the anniversery there was no down time. Even though it was very busy we had a great time.

We expected the waether to be warm, but when got there it was in the mid-90's. I took the opportunity to go on Splash Mountain as many times as I could as you can see in this picture. I tried to sit in the front every time so I could get as wet as possible.

Here we are at Big Thunder Mountain Raliroad. I enoy this ride and this is one of Erin's favorite rides. For whatever reason this was not as popular ride as all the others. We waited an average of 10 minutes to ride and a few times we walked right on.

The haunted has was all decked out for christmas. The theme was "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Ever since the movie came out, Disneyland has transformed their haunted house into to this at the begging of every October. It takes one month to create the new look. It was really neat because the new look still incorporated old special effects.

Lilli in Action

Lilli and I carved her first pumpkin together. She was gungho until she realized what was really nside the pumpkin. I think the feeling of slimey innerds with seeds was not appealing to her. Nevertheless she did manage to stick her hands in and pull out some guts. This was the final product, I call it traditional.

This is Lilli and her cousin's Ashley in the middle and Katie on the right at Bauman's farms. This is where they got their pumpkins and and went through the hay maze along with indulging in sweet treats. They had a great time.
Lilli was SnowWhite for Halloween this year. Erin and I went to Disneyland early in the month and bought this dress for her. She was very excited to go and trick or treat. Don't worry, we put her in a turtleneck, tights and an umbrella so she wouldn't freeze. She was so cute people would give her candy by the handfull, which made the night of trick or treating in the rain short.
Lilli is a very active girl. She loves to go outside and play. One of her favorite things to play with is her tricycle. By the end of the summer she was good enough to ride complety around the block. It was kind of weird because 25 years ago I was doing the same thing with my dad. I was kind of blown away at how my life has changed, in a good way of course. Lilli loved to play in her pool this summer, especially since it was a very warm summer. The little redhead is Lilli's best friend and cousin Katie. They are only three months apart and act like sister's. On this hot day Katie and Lilli decided to go on the pool in their clothes.
Every peice of clothing Lilli owns seems to be a princess outfit. She likes to walk around like she is Cinderella, thus the blue Cinderella nightgown. I have happily named her my little princess.

This is Lilli getting one of her many dolls. She loves to play with dolls. She has a name for all of them. She is funny to watch, because she is so good with the dolls. I don't know how she has such a motherly instinct at such a young age. It probably comes from her loving mother.

Lilli thanks you for taking the time to catch up on what is going on in her lifeand would like to wish you a good day.

Love Lilli
